With all this talk of active and authentic learning in the classroom, it might seem overwhelming to try to fit in the time when there is so much content to cover. That's where Flipped Learning comes into play. Having students watch instructional videos at home in a setting where they can stop, rewind, or rewatch helps students learn the material before coming to class. Then during class you can focus on helping them interact with the material. I have included a short example of a Flipped Classroom video and an accompanying worksheet.
Accompanying GoogleDoc:
As teachers we should always be seeking to assist our students in the best ways possible. This model is helpful to students because it lets them work at their own pace at home as well as giving them opportunities to interact with the material and understand it better.
